Day Volunteer

Our day volunteer experience is a great chance to visit Kids Saving the Rainforest and give back during your vacation!

Duration

7 hours (9am - 4pm)

About

The minimum age requirement is 18 for volunteers on their own, but kids aged 7-17 are welcome with adult supervision, making this a great family experience! The ticket fee includes transportation to and from locations in the Manuel Antonio and Quepos area, and a prepared lunch.

The day will begin with a fun & informative guided tour of our Wildlife Sanctuary. During the tour you will meet and learn about sloths, spider monkeys, kinkajous, and many other unique animals that call the sanctuary home. The guided tour is followed by refreshments and a short activity with an animal caretaker or biologist before lunch. You will sit down for a prepared meal in our restaurant where you will get the chance to interact with our staff, interns, & long-term volunteers.

After lunch you will complete a volunteer project for the day with staff and other volunteers. The volunteer project will involve creating enrichment for the animals who make their homes in the sanctuary. While you will not be handling the animals, this is a great chance to get up close and personal with them.
